May and August

May and August soap is based out of my home in Manor, a small town right outside of Austin, Texas and was established in January of 2022.

I hand craft cold process soaps with the intention to include nourishing ingredients such as locally sourced goat milk, locally sourced honey, organic oats, and hemp oil. Some other skin pampering ingredients include locally sourced tallow, olive oil, and organic coconut oil.

  • Honey

Honey is one of my favorite things to add to soap. It imparts a light, warm, sweet scent. The added sugar content helps increase the lather and acts as a humectant.

Manuka honey can improve the appearance of your skin when added directly to the surface. It can balance your skin's pH level and help slough away dead cell debris to keep your skin clean. Its anti-inflammatory effect can decrease local inflammation. Manuka can also act as an antibacterial.

  • Oats

Oatmeal can work as a natural cleanser, containing saponins that act as a mild soap. Oats also gently exfoliate dead skin cells, which leaves your skin looking fresh and revived. The oatmeal we use is sprouted organic oats that are gluten and pesticide-free. You will be using the best on your skin.

  • Goat milk

Goat milk benefits the skin due to the naturally occurring components in it. The fatty acids in goat milk help repair the skin barrier and add probiotics to encourage the growth of normal skin flora. This star ingredient also has vitamin A to help gently exfoliate. All of these benefits result in soft, supple skin.

  • Hemp seed oil

Using hemp seed oil can help even out skin's oil production. We love using hemp seed oil because it is non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog pores. It's also full of omega-6 essential fatty acids that can be a powerful, anti-inflammatory agent.

  • Review

I purchased the sample soaps at the Wolfranch Farmer's Market in Georgetown TX because I couldn't decide on a favorite scent. I was also planning a vacation and loved the idea of bringing along a mini soap on a rope. My skin loves this soap. So far the Citrus Sunshine is my favorite.

  • Lavender Goatmilk Soap

I purchased the Lavender scented soap. I have fairly sensitive skin and was a little worried that a scented soap would irritate my skin but when I read the label I relized i knew exactly what everything was in the soap. I was also relieved that it was scented with essential oils. There were no strange chemicals. After I used the soap my skin was so soft and supple. I will definitely be purchasing this again.
